Today's Surgery

Carrie went in for skin graphs today, they ended up not doing them. They did an abrasion on the tissue to generate blood flow to the surface. They ended up pulling the tissue closer together and put some stitches in. They are planning the skin graph for next Tuesday. She will continue to have surgery every two days to do the bandage changes.

Randy's co-workers from across the state are together in Moscow this week for a conference and had a great fundraiser and rally of support.

  2. hi carrie, randy and family--i'll bet you are about sick and tired of hearing the word surgery, and yet so grateful that these skilled doctors are able to put your body "back together" in order that you may heal, come home and do those things you enjoy. i know that day is coming! We know that life is not free of challenges, and carrie you are experiencing a pretty hard one to bear. BUT "they" say this testing is the source of our strength, and what an example you are! you have much faith in the Lord and he is providing for you and your family. I know he loves you very much and is there always. i think of you often and remember you in my prayers always. Blessings, olivia

  9. Carrie,
I'm sending some cookies (oatmeal raisin per your request) and books to Randy's apartment. I've been after Bo to get me an address for awhile now and he gave Katie the address last night. My blogging skills are limited to say the very least. I still prefer snail mail. If you don't get the cookies I'd check with Randy and Bo to see what happened to them. I'm grateful for this site ....not only is it great to hear of your wonderful progress but it allows me to pray specifically for up coming surgeries and treatments. Nothing is impossible with God!
I'm really looking forward to getting to know you better ...you've been a real boost to my faith and reminded all of us how God works through all things in our lives.
